Trip to Salome, Sedona and Phoenix, AZ
We took a few days of vacation during the President Day to visit Bob and Marie in Salome, AZ. It was warm and sunny and over 70 degrees every day. It was an interesting landscape. Salome was a really (REALLY) small town and we loved it. No cell coverage and not much to do that’s all we wanted for vacation.
There was plenty to do for Kaler, as he thinks that everything is a toy. Kaler enjoyed torturing Fanny, playing with the trash can, going up and down stairways on the front door, and running around the property. Guy and I enjoyed riding in the go kart/dune buggy up in the Harquahala hills and saw all kinds of cactus.
After Salome, we headed to Sedona. It was great tourist destination. It was very beautiful red rocks. It reminded me of the Disney cartoon movie ‘Cars’. It’s worth to visit.
Unfortunately, Guy got sick so badly with vomiting and diarrhea. We don’t know it came from a flu, or food or water. He threw up all night/day long, after throwing up episode was over, he had diarrhea afterward. So he didn’t get to eat anything beside Gatorade and Pedialyte for almost 3 days.
Well, luckily it wasn't Kaler otherwise the trip would be a nightmare.
Here're some photos from the trip:

Kaler’s 2nd Christmas 2008
This year we had a lot of snow in the Seattle area so on the Christmas day we decided to take Kaler out sledding at the park near by. He was bundled up like an Eskimo baby. He looked so funny. Yes..that’s the joy of being parents. Kaler didn’t know much about opening gifts yet so we had an easy day and didn’t open gifts until 8pm.
He was excited to see all the toys, books and clothes from friends and families who sent him gifts.
We wanted to say Thank you very much to everyone who sent us gifts. Our living room is out of control and full of Kaler’s stuff now. :)

Thanksgiving weekend 2008
The Oakleys came to visit during Thanksgiving weekend. Guy and Amy did the half/full marathon together. Amy finished with a great times.
Emma was like Kaler's big sister. She played with him and even fed him milk after he woke up.
Kaler enjoyed his cousins so much and also played fall down game with uncle Steve.
